I remember walking under the dining room table. I remember eating chicken noodle soup and the noodles sliding between my front teeth. Everything since has been downhill?

You must not have been wearing that dress when you ate the soup. If I had had that dress when I was a little girl I would never have taken in off. Odds are I'd still be wearing it. Lovely!
John--I did have the gap fixed when I was six. Of course I skipped braces later.
Diary, Trixie, Fay--doesn't that picture just rock? I looked for 30 minutes and when I saw that one on Flikr Commons, I loved it.

Going downhill's a helluva lot easier than going up. If I'da seen you in that dress and I was your age, too, or a little older, I'da taken you by the hand and waltzed you off to Never Never Land. What a cutie! rated at the urgent equest of my inner little boy
I don't know about you, but I've found that chicken with wild rice adds an upward spice to everything.
Thanks Poppi!
Cranky--you are the rocks that I cling to over the abyss.
Matt-- It is a tasty little dress!
Scanner--At least they fed you!
At Home Thanks--anti-climax might be it
Karen--I remember this--we had a dining room with a dining room table and I walked under it every day.
Larry--wild rice, mm.
Cartouche--you have many fine memories which I have read on your blog here. Thanks.
Dianannii-- Thanks
lorianne--thanks for noticing--it's ambivalent. I was very happy as a little kid--and then plunged into being a sour little soul.
